Of late, the south Korean authorities are pushing forward risky policy of defense industry with an ambition to stand in confrontation with north Korea. They are going to develop latest weaponry, while speeding up development and production of light helicopter and training planes, development of fighters and spy satellite, development of tactical information communication and sound detector and mass production of medium-range torpedo. Clamoring about switchover of the defense industry from mimicry to leading one, they are going to develop intelligent drones and warships by introducing the 4th technology of industrial revolution. Broad spectrum of south Koreans called a news conference outside the US embassy in Seoul to denounce the US for interfering in domestic affairs of south Korea.   In a press release, they noted that they would not assume an indifferent attitude to the US intervention in the issue of the Korean Peninsula, pointing out that they would make positive efforts to dissolve the south Korea-US working group.

South Korean people from all walks of life demand punishment of the US forces in south Korea which set off firecrackers at random. A civic organization held a press conference to condemn the USFK outside the US embassy in Seoul.  They demanded to tighten the control over all US soldiers who enter south Korea through the air base in Osan, their comings and goings of the base and total suspension of the GIs out the military base.                                      

In recent, broad spectrum of south Korean people in Daegu launched an action against the US. They surrounded the US military base, carrying placards written “US, leave south Korea!” and “Stop interference in domestic affairs!”.                                       It is the US that squeezes an exorbitant amount of money from south Korea in pursuit of its interests, south Korea should offer money to the US any more, a member of civic organization noted. They said that they would vigorously wage actions against the US intervention in internal affairs of south Korea, the US pressure upon south Korea to increase its share of defense cost for the US forces and in demand of the dissolution of the south Korea-US working group.

South Korean children are suffering all sorts of persecution and ill-treatment from their parents and losing their lives due to violence. In a day of February, a married couple in their 20s buried their newborn daughter and son at a hillock on the quiet after abusing them. In May, a woman in her 40s put her five years old daughter for two hours into a bag to death.  Two-thirds of the late child’s arms and legs had black and blue bruises as well as his back and bottom.
