A delegation for field survey visited south Korea to ensure the performance of north Korean art troupe to be given in south Korea with the 23rd Winter Olympics as an occasion and also a delegation of the south side visited the DPKR.

Some analysis of the developments in inter-Korean relations . As usual the mainstream media have misinformed people about the nature of what is going on . It has been falsely said that the DPRK has opened talks with south Korea because of the 'sanctions ' or ' it is simply ' a tactic to gain time' . Campaign for arresting Lee Myung-bak South Koreans of all strata   conducted a campaign for arresting Lee Myung-bak in various parts of Seoul on Jan. 6. A candlelight action took place around Lee's house under the sponsorship of the Headquarters of All-People Action to Punish Lee Myung-bak and "Commando for Seizing MB". Attending it were civilians of various strata from across south Korea. The participants held a demo from Hakdong Station to Lee's house before holding a candlelight rally. The Family Movement for Realizing Democracy held the 1152nd Thursday rally in Seoul on January 4 to demand the release of prisoners of conscience and repeal of the "Security Law". Recalling that unjust regime was toppled and a new regime emerged last year, speakers there deplored that there are still prisoners of conscience.
