  A few days ago, 1500th Wednesday demonstration was held outside the old Japanese embassy in Seoul to condemn sexual crimes committed by the Japanese army during the World War  Ⅱ . 1565 members of anti-Japanese organizations from over ten countries including south Korea, Japan, US, Canada, Germany, France and Indonesia took part in in the demonstration.       They mentioned in the statement that it is the longest demonstration, the saddest and the proudest one in the world which were held on 1500  occasions . They strongly demanded Japan ’ s admission of war crimes, a thoroughgoing investigation into issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, an official apology and legal compensation for the sexual slavery victims and strict punishment of those who are responsible for it.  

  Former south Korean public procurator general Yun Seok-yol finds himself in dire predicament as his wife’s mother was arrested on suspicion of violation of medical law and his wife’s literary piracy of treatise.   He reproached the south Korean authorities’ labor policy and is being buffeted by criticism of the public by saying a 120 hour-long working is okay if necessary.   The 120 hour-long working will not support the health of workers. It is longer than working hour at Auschwitz concentration camp in the past, the Democratic Party and Justice Party and  sharply criticized Yun.   A few days ago, Gwangju citizens held a rally in demand of withdrawal of the US forces in south Korea and halt to south Korea-US joint military maneuver. The US forces, the very one responsible for Korea’s division and occupying forces, have stationed in south Korea over seven decades. We must wage a dynamic drive against the US not to check the advance of the south Korean people desirous of peace and reunification.   Ahead of Tokyo Olympic Games, Japan persists in the use of "the flag of rising sun shedding rays", symbol of imperialism, and marked Dok islet as territory of Japan in the map.      Japan is a thick-skinned nation. Japan is going to open Olympic Games in the face of world pandemic to make a stride to militarism by legalizing its dominium over Dok islet and justifying its past of aggression.   The opposition People’s Power Party buckles down to carrying out a “change” and “reform”. The PPP, which nominated a man in his 30s as its head of the party, visited Gwangju and other places under the signboard of “coexistence” and “integration” to carry out the “reform”. However, it is a hackneyed political farce and flimsy way of thinking to butter up the people to win their favor. Whenever the election is at hand and it finds itself in a pretty fix, the conservative forces have been loud-mouthed about “change” and “reform”. Nothing has undergone a change in the end.    Quite contrary to their remarks, it goaded on “north Korea’s involvement in Gwangju popular uprising”.     It stands to reason that broad segments of south Koreans hurl mud on the PPP which remains unchanged.   On 3rd of July, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a large-scale national labor meeting in Seoul with the attendance of 8000 unionist. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions is planning general strike with the participation of 1.1 million workers in Nov. The meeting was held as a part of advance preparations.  The south Korean authorities promised that it would change part-time job into full-time one and ensure jobs and safety of the workers but they did not keep any of it, they condemned.
