Demonstration in Wednesday
A few days ago, 1500th Wednesday demonstration was held outside the old Japanese embassy in Seoul to condemn sexual crimes committed by the Japanese army during the World War Ⅱ. 1565 members of anti-Japanese organizations from over ten countries including south Korea, Japan, US, Canada, Germany, France and Indonesia took part in in the demonstration.
They mentioned in the statement that it is the longest demonstration, the saddest and the proudest one in the world which were held on 1500 occasions. They strongly demanded Japan’s admission of war crimes, a thoroughgoing investigation into issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, an official apology and legal compensation for the sexual slavery victims and strict punishment of those who are responsible for it. |
