On April, 23, the south Korean military carried out  a  joint landing drill with involvement of the army, the navy, air forces and marine corps in the sea off Pohang of North Gyeongsang Province. Civic organizations have blamed the US for putting pressure upon south Korea to increase its share of defense cost.
