Defense budget against north Korea The south Korean authorities earmarked defense budget for 2020 by 7.4 percent as compared with 2019 under the veil of “strong security” and “independent defense”. It was the greatest amount increased by 1.4 percent and 1.8 percent to what was in the periods of Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye regimes.
