British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula support resolution of Pomminryon

BRITISH SOLIDARITY COMMITTEE FOR PEACE AND REUNIFICATION ON THE KOREAN PENINSULA

The British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Solidarity on the Korean Peninsula  issued the following statement in support of the resolution adopted by the  north, south and overseas headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) on the 2nd of June ;
 Pomminryon has called for the implementation of the April 27th Panmunjom declaration , for the rejection of outside interference and the establishment of  a durable peace.
  Pomminryon is also calling for the holding of a joint national event for the Korean nation .
   Significantly , the resolution of Pomminryon calls fo the abolition of the National Security Law
which is an institutional barrier to peace and reunification on the Korea peninsula as well as well
a most hideous and reactionary law suppressing the freedom of expression and thought in south Korea .
  The resolution also calls for the ending the US hostile policy against the DPRK and the conclusion of a peace treaty .
  We support the resolution of Pomminryon and support the struggle of Pomminryon for independent
reunification.

A mass rally held

     South Korean laborers held a large scale rally against Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul. The National Meeting of Workers 2023 involving 110,000 laborers appealed for a nationwide campaign to disband the People's Power Party and to get the Yoon regime withdrawn for dismantling the trade unions, driving many laborers to death, and destroying happiness of families. The participants vehemently accused the Yoon regime of escalating oppression upon the trade union. They raised their voices critical of the Yoon clique, demanding the abolition of retrogressive labor law.     Demolish the retrogressive labor law!     Let us smash Yoon's repressive measure of laborers and safeguard rights to subsistence!     Opposition to retrogressive revision of the labor law killing workers!     Topple Yoon destroying agriculture and slaughtering peasants!         People have turned their back on Yoon Suk-yeol!

Modern-version "gladiators"

    Nowadays, the south Korean people put an accusing finger at the members of ruling and opposition parties as modern-version "gladiators". In the political circles of south Korea, the ruling and opposition parties have been constantly at feud with each other. Due to the dog fights between the People's Power Party and the Minjoo Party of Korea for introducing of "a special prosecution system" to investigate the suspicion of Kim Keon-hee's illegality and corruption and "the preferential development in Taejangdong", the budget bill for the coming year has not yet been passed beyond its "legal period".
