5 point programme of the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula



1.To wage dynamic solidarity activities of various sorts to introduce the just struggle of the AINDF and the south Korean people for the termination of the US colonial rule,
achievement of social democracy and independent reunification of
Korea to the wider public
  2. To take the lead of the international solidarity movement for pressuring the reactionary US rulers into withdrawal of the US aggression troops from south Korea at once, conclusion of a DPRK-US nonaggression treaty and noninterference in the internal affairs of the Korean nation;
   3. To actively support the just cause of the Korean nation to reunify the country independently and peacefully under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration by resolutely foiling the criminal moves of the US imperialists and the pro-US traitorous forces of south Korea aimed at permanent division of the Korean Peninsula and,
still worse, provocation of a new Korean war;
   4. To promote unity and cooperation between the progressive forces,  woking class and people  of the UK and the AINDF and the patriotic south Korean people.
   5. To take concerted solidarity actions with the progressive parties, organizations, and solidarity committees of other countries supporting the peace and reunification of Korea.

A mass rally held

     South Korean laborers held a large scale rally against Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul. The National Meeting of Workers 2023 involving 110,000 laborers appealed for a nationwide campaign to disband the People's Power Party and to get the Yoon regime withdrawn for dismantling the trade unions, driving many laborers to death, and destroying happiness of families. The participants vehemently accused the Yoon regime of escalating oppression upon the trade union. They raised their voices critical of the Yoon clique, demanding the abolition of retrogressive labor law.     Demolish the retrogressive labor law!     Let us smash Yoon's repressive measure of laborers and safeguard rights to subsistence!     Opposition to retrogressive revision of the labor law killing workers!     Topple Yoon destroying agriculture and slaughtering peasants!         People have turned their back on Yoon Suk-yeol!

Modern-version "gladiators"

    Nowadays, the south Korean people put an accusing finger at the members of ruling and opposition parties as modern-version "gladiators". In the political circles of south Korea, the ruling and opposition parties have been constantly at feud with each other. Due to the dog fights between the People's Power Party and the Minjoo Party of Korea for introducing of "a special prosecution system" to investigate the suspicion of Kim Keon-hee's illegality and corruption and "the preferential development in Taejangdong", the budget bill for the coming year has not yet been passed beyond its "legal period".
