10 years since the October 4th Declaration -Statement by the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula

On the 4th of October it will be 10 years since  the October 4th Declaration was signed between the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL and then south Korean chief executive Roh Myun Hyun . The Declaration was a significant breakthrough for Korean reunification as well as the material improvement of inter-Korean relations . However after 10 years no progress towards reunfication has been made.
 The reason for this is the obstruction and sabotage of the declaration by successive conservative fascist puppet regimes of south Korea . Firstly, the Lee Myung Bak puppet regime which cooked up the false flag Cheonan incident against the DPRK and used it to impose sanctions on the DPRK . The Lee Myung Bak regime arrested several pro-reunification activists who such as Ro Su Hui who visited the DPRK . Then came the witch Park Geun Hye the daugther of discredited and hated fascist
puppet military dictator Park Chung Hee . The fascist Park Geun Hye took inter-Korean confrontation to unprecedented levels even talking about  'reunification through absorption' , 'German style-unification ' and the like . Park institutionalised anti-DPRK policies through the human rights
campaign. The Kaesong Industrial Park , a symbol of inter-Korean co-operation was shut down by Park .
 Due to its extreme corruption the Park regime was  removed and a new so-called 'liberal ' regime took its place . The new south Korean chief executive ,Moon, talked big about inter-Korean co-operation and  peace . However Moon proved to be a chip off the old puppet block , a trendy liberal
fascist puppet replacing a conservative fascist puppet  ! Instead of advancing policies for independent reunification in accordance with the June 15 declaration and October 4th declaration , the new regime
continued with dependence on the US and even went as far as to press ahead with the deployment of
4 additional THAAD missile launchers , thus breaking their promises  !
  Our committee fully supports the struggle of the south Korean people for independence and against the US . In order to realise the ideas of the October 4th declaration , US troops should be withdrawn
from south Korea and THAAD cancelled.

A mass rally held

     South Korean laborers held a large scale rally against Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul. The National Meeting of Workers 2023 involving 110,000 laborers appealed for a nationwide campaign to disband the People's Power Party and to get the Yoon regime withdrawn for dismantling the trade unions, driving many laborers to death, and destroying happiness of families. The participants vehemently accused the Yoon regime of escalating oppression upon the trade union. Modern-version "gladiators"

    Nowadays, the south Korean people put an accusing finger at the members of ruling and opposition parties as modern-version "gladiators". In the political circles of south Korea, the ruling and opposition parties have been constantly at feud with each other. Due to the dog fights between the People's Power Party and the Minjoo Party of Korea for introducing of "a special prosecution system" to investigate the suspicion of Kim Keon-hee's illegality and corruption and "the preferential development in Taejangdong", the budget bill for the coming year has not yet been passed beyond its "legal period".
