The south
Korean military announced that the drill Alliance is the one replacing the annual
Key Resolve and Foal Eagle and it will continue from March 4 to March 12.
The Alliance
is the exercise for invading north Korea in terms of its contents and
goal.
The
south Korean and US military said that the ongoing drill aims at examining
wartime operation plan through computer-aided simulation of "the north's
all-out invasion of the south" and increasing the capabilities to fight a
war.
They
advertise that the codename of the military exercise was changed and the scale
and duration have been reduced. However, its nature of aggression and
confrontation remain unchanged.
The
ill-boding moves of the south Korean military authorities and the U.S. are a
wanton violation of the DPRK-U.S. joint statement and the north-south
declarations and an open challenge to the aspiration and desire of all Koreans
and the international community for peace and stability on the Korean
Peninsula.
