A vigorous step toward reunification



On June 1, the North Chella Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration sponsored a marathon for reunification to mark the 19th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint Declaration in Cheonju.   
It is sure that only when the people pool their efforts can a new era be opened through implementation of inter-Korean declaration, the representative of the North Chella Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration said. The marathon will encourage the residents of the North Chella Province in their efforts to realize peaceful reunification, he added.
Meantime, members of the civic organization in Busan launched march for independent and peaceful reunification against the US on May 30.
They claimed discontinuance of war games, the US interference in domestic affairs, retraction of sanctions against north Korea and dissolution of the south Korea-US Working Group.  
They started the march while chanting “Opposition to the US interrupting the process of inter-Korean relations”.

A mass rally held

     South Korean laborers held a large scale rally against Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul. The National Meeting of Workers 2023 involving 110,000 laborers appealed for a nationwide campaign to disband the People's Power Party and to get the Yoon regime withdrawn for dismantling the trade unions, driving many laborers to death, and destroying happiness of families. The participants vehemently accused the Yoon regime of escalating oppression upon the trade union. Modern-version "gladiators"

    Nowadays, the south Korean people put an accusing finger at the members of ruling and opposition parties as modern-version "gladiators". In the political circles of south Korea, the ruling and opposition parties have been constantly at feud with each other.
