Stop pressure on students

 

According to the Tongil news, the Progressive Federation of Students of south Korea had a press conference to condemn the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for throwing suspicion on two members of the organization on charge of violation of the National Security Law on Nov. 3.



A member of the organization asserted that there is backstage manipulation of the US and ultra-rightist conservative forces behind the crackdown.

The police crackdown is aimed to block the activities of the students demanding a thoroughgoing investigation into the death caused by an armored vehicle of the US army and the punishment of those who are accountable for it, the organization noted. It urged the police to stop the pressure on the students, it added.

A mass rally held

     South Korean laborers held a large scale rally against Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul. The National Meeting of Workers 2023 involving 110,000 laborers appealed for a nationwide campaign to disband the People's Power Party and to get the Yoon regime withdrawn for dismantling the trade unions, driving many laborers to death, and destroying happiness of families. The participants vehemently accused the Yoon regime of escalating oppression upon the trade union.
